A good academic edit removes what obscures your argument and leaves everything that carries it — including the habits of phrasing that make the work recognisably yours.
We work at three depths: proofreading for surface errors, copy-editing for clarity and consistency, and substantive editing where structure needs attention. You choose the depth, and we tell you if we think you have chosen the wrong one.

Tone and clarity
Hedging, redundancy and circular phrasing removed so each sentence carries its weight.
Reference formatting
Citations and bibliography converted to the required style, with every entry checked against source.
Consistency pass
Terminology, abbreviations, numerals, spelling convention and heading levels made consistent throughout.
Technical formatting
Tables, figures, equations, captions and cross-references set to the target journal's specification.
Tracked changes
Every edit visible and reversible, with comments explaining anything substantive rather than changing it silently.
